Crested Butte has hosted the Wildflower Festival every year since 1986. In peak season the meadows around the valley genuinely do look like the photographs.
The Evolution Bike Park runs 25 trails over 30 miles of lift-served riding, from wide flowy beginner trails to technical rock gardens. Beyond the park, the Gunnison Valley has over 750 miles of singletrack. There is secure bike storage and a wash station at the Inn.
Rafting and kayaking in class II–IV rapids, fishing in the rivers and lakes, paddle boarding on Blue Mesa — Colorado's largest lake — and hiking through two million acres of National Forest and Wilderness.
