The historic town

Crested Butte town sits a few minutes down the valley from Mt. Crested Butte — a preserved mining town of painted Victorian buildings, independent shops, bars and restaurants, with the peaks closing off the end of every street.

The free Mountain Express runs between the two every 20 minutes in season, and the stop is steps from the Inn. You do not need a car to get down there and you do not need to worry about driving back.

Through the year

Festivals worth planning around

Wildflower Festival

Running every year since 1986. The reason Crested Butte is the Wildflower Capital of Colorado.

Fat Tire Bike Week

One of the oldest mountain bike festivals anywhere, in a valley with 750+ miles of singletrack.

Crested Butte Music Festival

Summer season in the town and at the mountain base.

Festival of the Arts

Artists and makers through the town over a summer weekend.

Reel Fest

Film in the mountains, in the historic town.

Fall Festival

Closes out the season as the aspens turn and before the snow arrives.

Dates move each year. Tell us which one you're coming for and we'll hold you a room before the town books out.
